Community Mini Libraries

Our community mini libraries, repurposed from old newsstands generously donated by The Advocate, are a unique and accessible way to promote literacy across Baton Rouge. Currently, seven of these mini libraries are strategically placed throughout the city, offering residents free access to a variety of books. Each library serves as a vibrant focal point for sharing knowledge and resources, encouraging a love for reading, and fostering a sense of community. These mini libraries are a testament to our commitment to making literature available to everyone, regardless of age or background. In addition, we maintain a year-round book drive to ensure that our community mini libraries are consistently stocked with a diverse selection of books. Community members can donate gently used or new books, which are then distributed to our seven mini libraries. Whether it's a favorite novel, a children's storybook, or an informative non-fiction title, every donation helps to enrich the lives of those who visit our mini libraries.
