The Ogden Park Civic Association, artists, musicians, and Mid City businesses are teaming up to bring back The Ogden Park Prowl on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The free arts and music festival welcomes the citizens of Baton Rouge and beyond to this delightfully eclectic and interesting neighborhood where over 100 local artists, makers and vendors will show and sell their wares, and musicians will perform at three stages throughout the eight blocks that make up Ogden Park. Food, drink, and refreshments will be available for purchase from local vendors and food trucks including Mestizo, Elsie’s Plate & Pie, Simple Joe, Barracuda Taco Stand and more. Refuge Aerial will perform, Beyond Gymnastics will have kids’ activities along with the EBRP Library Bookmobile and kids’ crafts & face painting will be available.
The core of Ogden Park consists of eight blocks bordered by Government Street, North Boulevard, S. Acadian Thruway and Ogden Drive. For safety, the neighborhood streets will be closed to traffic and attendees are asked to park in available spots in the vicinity and walk to The Prowl. The entire parking lot of Catholic High School is available and the optimum place to park. Baton Rouge High will also be available for overflow. The event is being held in conjunction with the 100th anniversary of Ogden Park’s founding in 1925. This year will be the eighth edition of the event, the last of which was held in 2019. COVID derailed the next two years and the event seemed destined to be lost before a groundswell of neighborhood support resurfaced and the Ogden Park Civic Association spearheaded the 2025 event to coincide with the 100-year anniversary.
